Junior Research Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Junior Research Specialist to join our Sportsbook Project. This role is pivotal in providing accurate, timely, and insightful data analysis to support betting odds, market trends, and customer engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep interest in sports, coupled with strong research and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to sports events, player performances, and betting markets to inform odds setting (Excel, SQL)
• Market Research: Conduct research on sports trends, team dynamics, and individual player statistics to predict potential impacts on betting markets.
• Odds Compilation: Assist in the compilation of odds, ensuring they are competitive and reflective of current market conditions.
• Report Generation: Produce detailed reports on sports events, past results, and predictions, highlighting key factors that could affect betting.
• Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor’s offerings, pricing, and promotions to ensure our sportsbook remains competitive.
• Customer Insights: Analyze customer betting patterns and feedback to tailor offerings and enhance customer experience.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams like trading, customer service, and marketing to share insights and align strategies.

Requirements:

• Education: bachelor’s degree would be prefferable, but not required.
• Experience:
  • Some experience in data analysis, ideally within sports or betting industries.
  • Familiarity with sports betting terminologies and mechanics.
• Skills:
  • Excellent research skills with an ability to synthesize information from various sources.
• Personal Attributes:
  • A genuine interest in sports and sports betting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills to explain complex data in simple terms.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
